To anyone in the world who knows me, would you expect to see me in this top? Probably not. I surprised myself too, honestly.
I have more accessories than I know what to do with (but I can certainly use more!). What I do not have plenty of, is clothes.
A style blogger with no clothes? Seriously?
Let’s keep in mind something. I moved a few months ago and unfortunately have not had the funds to take advantage of all these AMAZING sales going on! So I saved what few pennies (okay, maybe some dollars) that I had and decided to take advantage of Old Navy’s sales and promos. I was happy with my haul, spent very little money and came across the cutest plaid button down.
For those who do not know me, you are probably wondering why this is news worthy (ok, BLOG worthy). Fact of the matter is, I am a jeans and tee shirt kind of girl. I love a nice blouse from time to time, but other than a few chambray tops, I do not steer toward button downs. Or plaid, for that matter.
I appreciate the look of plaid and love it on other people. But not since high school have I worn plaid. None of my heels bear plaid. Not one single scarf or pashmina. No skirts, pants or tops in my closet. In fact, my closet is completely void of any and all plaid.
Perhaps it’s the color? The navy blue with pops of pretty pink? Or the comfy, loose fit? The fact that it moves so easily with me? Who knows? All I know is I am loving this look!
Could this be the start of a new relationship? Will my closet be overthrown by plaid of all shapes and colors? Maybe or maybe not. But one thing is for certain. Old Navy has peaked my curiosity…and perhaps made me a little mad for plaid.
