Hello Blog Readers!

This week I wanted to focus on (what else?) accessories!

This time, however; I thought it would be fun to put a black and white spin on it! I LOVE black and white photos and I’ve done a handful of black and white blogs so I figured it was time once again for a monochromatic blog!

Most of my accessories are colorful, so I was eager to see how they would stand out in black and white and I was pleasantly surprised! As long you have a great accessory, it doesn’t matter what color it is (or what filter it ends up being on Instagram, for that matter!). It’s not about the color. It’s about the way you wear your accessory (or how it wears you)!

We all know I’m all about comfort and I love to play with fashion. So it comes as no surprise to see me rockin’ this Kate Spade New York TAXI clutch (which has the words “OFF DUTY” on one side). Seeing how I used to live in NYC, it’s obvious this clutch was missing from my closet. I also love these new Adidas Neo Advantage sneakers. I’ve been in the market for a pair of crisp white sneakers and I came across these at DSW (trust me girls, you need these in your life! Head to DSW or order them online) and what’s great is that I’m so excited to pair these sneaks with skirts and dresses this Summer as well!

Think of your jewelry as “black and white” as well. Who cares if you pair rose gold with silver with gold? Mixing metals can scare a lot of people, but that’s silly. As long as you love the trinket, that’s all that matters! Mix your metals proudly and have fun! Same goes for a scarf. Tired of tying it around your neck? Wear it as a head scarf or a cool bandana. I’m a fan of tying them around my wrist to use when I’m sick of my bracelets (believe it or not, that DOES happen!), so do not look at accessories as a one-off. Get creative!

It doesn’t always have to be black and white…but it can be.    😉
